[ The feed clicks on to show a Pidgey staring down at the Gear, tilting his head this way and that like any curious bird would do. Then there's a screech and an Altaria's head also pops into the view, and they're tilting their heads, chirping, and the Pidgey gives a tentative peck at the Gear before the Altaria bends its long neck to pick up the Gear- ]

--What are you two doing? Zephyr, hand that to me. Avion, do not be a mischievous little fowl, or I will send you back into your ball.

[ There are two screeches before the Gear is thrown at the voice. Caught swiftly in hand, the feed then turns to face a slightly irritated Saber/Nero who shakes her hand and places the Gear in a more proper position to watch her. There's a long, wooden object resting upon her lap, with Gladius the Scyther standing obediently by her bed. Judging by the small, wooden bits scattered around her, it looks like she's further tuning the makeshift "weapon," making sure the edges were heavily blunted and not too jagged enough, but still carrying a discernible shape. There are also three eggs of various colors placed upon her bed beside her. ]

Then again... Ah, yes, I did have a query. I am aware that there are several of those who have- had powers, extraordinary abilities back in their worlds. I was no exception, and it vexes me greatly, but even as a human, I was glorious enough.

[ But enough about that tangent- ] I am curious about where it all just... goes. And how? Surely there are some powers people had that were useful and not so harmful. [ As she talks, her eyes drift down to the wooden weapon in her hands for a moment. ] And for those who have stayed here for an interminable amount of time in this world... Do you not miss it?

Well I wouldn't consider myself an assassin anymore.

My methods were a good combination speed and strength. I could remove a major organs so fast that it take a few moments before the target realises they're gone.

The trick was simply making my hands sharp enough to cut though flesh and bone. Putting enough force to get through. Be fast enough that their brain wouldn't pick up the change immediately.

[That was the method he choose to specialized in. Zoldyck got to chose the methods of assassination they'd like to use.]

Interesting methods; it sounds almost akin to some forms of martial arts.

Still, I would prefer the glory of open battle upon another than skulking in the shadows, waiting for the unsuspecting prey to wander into the kill zone. Ah, but I suppose that all depends on the situation, hm? [ She shakes her head at herself. ]

I've fought people head to head before which is more interesting to me than just taking them out in one hit. Since I left home I learn a lot of cool stuff and decide to try wielding something in a fight.

[He rummages in his pocket before pulling out two yo-yo with a pentagram on them for her to see.]

These are just replicas but the original came in handing in sometimes.

Hm? [ She tilts her head. ] Those are... Yes, are those yo-yos? Objects that one needs to have a good amount of dexterity to them?

[ Sure, she's got information of the modern world in her head, but as for actually using some of that knowledge... ]

Yep, the originals you'd need more then just dexterity to use. They were about 50 kilos each with a wire designed to hold their weight and easily conduct electricity.

My childhood was rife with much exposure to the sordid work of assassination. I have conducted a few myself. But those were for politics, and nothing more.

Ahh taking out political targets, that's one of the best paying jobs. Though there a slightly higher risks with them. Annoying risks.

Certainly it is not the noblest professions, nor the most flashy. Still, they are needed when they must.

It can be flashy but that just takes a special kind of target.

The ones that actually fight back and hold there own against you. I've only seen my father and grandfather in those sort of situations.

Actually I think one of my older brothers gets the easy ones since he's a fatass and all. Out of my siblings he's only that hasn't done much field work. He's normally one to stay at the house making useless crap and playing with his dolls.

One of his inventions was a bomb small enough to fit on a mosquito. His plan was using mosquitoes to kill targets remotely.

The problem is the bomb so small that it wouldn't do any real damage to a person. Plus he hasn't figure out a way to control the insects.

Making what he did a complete waste of time and money.

... hah. Perhaps if he used something bigger than a mere mosquito, it would work. I can see now, though, on why you think his ideas are a waste.
