It is certainly surprising coming from you, but I would welcome such an alliance with you! After all, we are both kings, and though our titles have lessened in importance due to being in this realm, we cannot simply stop what we were raised to be.

Do not be so quick to take back your words; it bothers me in the least. In actuality, it pleases me greatly to be considered friends with the King of Knights herself! Surely you would be just as honored back to be my companion, hm?
